Tim Roth (born May 14, 1961 as Timothy Simon Smith) is a British film actor and director. He was born in Dulwich, London.

He has played numerous roles including Guildenstern in the movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and has been in Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover and Planet of the Apes (2001). He also played the part of Trevor, a skinhead, in the short film Made In Britain (1982) He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as "Archibald Cunningham" in the film Rob Roy.

  • Roth had a son with Lori Baker in 1983. He married Nikki Butler in 1993, and had 2 sons with her; Timothy (b. 1995) and Cormac (b. 1996).
