Joe Pantoliano (born September 12, 1951) is an actor. His last name is very hard for most English speakers to pronounce, so he often just asks people to call him Joey Pants.

Pantoliano was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA to first generation Italian-American parents. He played the character Cypher in The Matrix, as well as Ralph Cifaretto in the HBO show The Sopranos, and also provided the voicework for the club owner Luigi Goterelli in the smash-hit videogame title, Grand Theft Auto III.

In 2003, Pantoliano won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Cifaretto on "The Sopranos".

But Can They Sing?

"Joey Pants" is one of nine contestants now on the VH1 reality show, "But Can They Sing?" The show is based on "American Idol", but with celebrities competing and the winner's prize will go to the charity of their choice. He appears along with soap legend Morgan Fairchild, Latin TV personality Myrka Dellanos, "One Tree Hill" actor Michael Copon, soap star Antonio Sabato Jr., Chinese actress Bai Ling, boxing champ Larry Holmes, supermodel Kim Alexis, and Carmine Gotti Agnello, the son of Victoria Gotti, grandson of famed mobster John Gotti, and one of the stars of the A&E reality show, "Growing Up Gotti." The show premiered October 30th, 2005 on VH1. The show is hosted by Ahmet Zappa, the son of legendary rocker Frank Zappa.
