Identity document forgery is the process of creating falsified identity documents with the intention of deceiving those who would view them as proof of the bearer's identity. Frequently falsified documents include passports, birth certificates, drivers licenses, diplomas and social security cards. Fake documents have a variety of uses, such as age deception, identity theft, organized crime, illegal immigration and resume falsification.
