Find the value of k if (1,2),(k,-1)\, are conjugate w.r.t the ellipse 2x^{2}+3y^{2}=6\,

The condition for the two poles to be conjugate is S_{{12}}=0\,

2(1)(k)+3(2)(-1)-6=0\,

2k-12=0\,

k=6\,

Therefore,the value of k is 6.
