If the equation ax^{2}+2bxy-2y^{2}+8x+12y+6=0\, represents a circle,find the values of a and b.

As per the theorm or condition that if

ax^{2}+2hxy+by^{2}+2gx+2gy+c=0\, to represent a circle is

a=b,h=0\,

Hence in the given equation,

a=-2,b=0\,
