Find the equation of the chord of the circle x^{2}+y^{2}=25\, having mid point (1,2).Also find the pole of that chord with respect to the circle.

The equation of the chord is

x(1)+y(2)-25=1^{2}+2^{2}-25\,

x+2y-5=0\,

From the equation

l=1,m=2,n=-5\,

From the circle equation, r^{2}=25\,

Now the pole of the chord is

\left({\frac  {(1)(25)}{-5}},{\frac  {(2)(25)}{-5}}\right)\,

\left(-5,-10\right)\,
