Find the equation of the straight line passing through the point $(2,3)\,$ and making intercepts whose sum is zero.

Let the intercepts made by the straight line be

$a,-a\,$

The equation of the straight line is

$\frac{x}{a}-\frac{y}{a}=1\,$

$x-y=a\,$

This line passes through

$(2,-3)\,$

Now susbstituting the coordinate in the above equation,

$2-3=a,a=-1\,$

Hence the eqaution of the straight line is

$x-y+1=0\,$
