Fundamental
From Exampleproblems
de:Grundton
A fundamental is something that cannot be built out of more basic things, which other things are built upon. See:
- Fundamental frequency, a concept in music or phonetics
- Fundamentalism: the belief in, and usually the strict adherence to, the basic, or "fundamental" beliefs, or ideas of a system of thought. Most commonly, it is applied today to "religious fundamentalists", those who want to return to the early, or basic, foundations of their religious or spiritual beliefs.
- Fundamental theorem of algebra: theorem regarding factorization of polynomials
- Fundamental theorem of arithmetic: theorem regarding prime factorization
