Determine $k\,$ so that $k+2,4k-6,3k-2\,$ are the three consecutive terms of an A.P

The common difference in arithmetic progression is secon term minus first term is equal to difference between third and second terms.

Hence $(4k-6)-(k+2)=(3k-2)-(4k-6)\,$

$3k-8=7k+4\,$

$-4k=12,k=-3\,$

Therefore,the value of $k\,$ is $-3\,$
