Solve for x\,: 3x^2+1=13\,

Sending the constant 1 to the right hand side of the equation,we get 3x^2=13-1\,

Now it looks like 3x^2=12\,

Sending 3 to the right hand side of the equation, x^2=12/3\,

x^2=4\,

Taking the square root of both sides, x=\sqrt{4}\,

x=+2\, or -2\,
