\frac{1}{\sqrt{x^2-1}}=5\,

Square both sides.

\frac{1}{x^2-1}=25\,

Multiply both sides by x2 − 1.

1=25x^2-25\,

25x^2=26\,

x^2=26/25\,

x=\pm \sqrt{\frac{26}{25}}=\pm\frac{\sqrt{26}}{5}\,
